What is PEP?
PEP is a revolutionary inter-active internet program that offers monthly exercise
routines with instruction that members can view online and then download to an
iPod, iPhone or any MP4 player that supports video. This gives you the ability to
view the exercises as you perform the routines. PEP can recommend exercises
specifically for that viewer based upon their profile selections (skill level, body-part,
equipment selection, and fitness goal). Viewers can either receive a personalized program
by selecting from the 600+ exercise database or by selecting one of the monthly
pre-arranged routines. All exercises are presented in an easy-to-follow video with
audio explanation. Routines are updated monthly. PEP
also offers a monthly Podcast on health and wellness related topics by industry-leading
presenters. Nationally recognized personal trainers certified by The American College
of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA),
and The American Council on Exercise (ACE) demonstrate all exercises.
How do I receive PEP?
Through a PEP participating partner, members are given a monthly subscription
that allows them to log on, access/view, and download all exercises/routines. Each
member has an account where they can view previous selected downloads, track favorite
exercises and can post their experiences/ results on the PEP community page.
Members have access to edit all routines. Based upon past viewing & previous downloads
PEP will recommend exercises personalized to that member.
Do I have to be in the gym to use PEP?
No. PEP offers a variety of routines that can be used on the road, outdoors,
or at home.
Can PEP replace a personal trainer?
No. PEP does not offer evaluations, hands on critiquing, or face-to-face motivation
& accountability that a trained professional offers. PEP is a good complement
to a certified professional.
How personalized is PEP?
PEP allows you to choose from their extensive list of equipment (dumbbells,
resistance tubing, stability ball, BOSU and more), skill level (Beginner, Intermediate
and Advanced), and fitness goals (Weight loss, Muscle toning, Improve core strength,
etc.) to determine the most appropriate program for you. With a few clicks of the
mouse you can have the most comprehensive & individualized program available downloaded
to your MP4 player ready to use!
Is it tough to download the routines?
No. Once logged on, the web site is easy to navigate. The downloading is relatively
painless, and a lot easier than many music web sites. If you do have a question,
PEP offers 24-hour email support.
